Gallatin Eagles RC Flying Club

  CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS  

 

PREAMBLE: We, the undersigned, being desirous to secure for ourselves the pleasures and benefits of the association of persons commonly interested in Model Building, do hereby constitute ourselves the Gallatin Eagles, and do enact this constitution as our governing law.

 

  ARTICLE I  

 

MEMBERSHIP: All persons interested in Model Building shall be eligible for membership.

 

  ARTICLE II  

 

OFFICERS:

 

     Section 1:

         

      The officers of the club shall be:

 

            a) President

            b) Vice-President

            c) Secretary-Treasurer

            d) Safety Officer

 

      Section 2:

           The officers of the club shall be elected for a term of one year by a ballot of the            members.

 

      Section 3:

            Vacancies occurring between elections shall be filled by special ballot at the first regular meeting at which the withdrawal or resignation is announced.

 

      Section 4:

            Officers may be removed by a three-fourths vote of the membership.

 

      Section 5:

            The President shall preside at all meetings of this club, and conduct the same according to the rules adopted; he shall enforce due observance of this Constitution and By-Laws; decide all questions of order; sign all official documents that are adopted by the club, and none other. He shall perform all customary duties pertaining to the office of president.

 

      Section 6:

            The Vice-President shall assume all the duties of the President in the absence of the latter.

 

      Section 7:

           The Secretary-Treasurer shall keep a record of all meetings, keep a roll of members, carry on all correspondence, read all communications at each meeting, receive and receipt for all monies paid to the club, keep an accurate count of all monies received and expended, shall pay no bill without proper authorization of the club or it's officers constituting a business committee. At the end of his term he shall submit an itemized statement of receipts and disbursements, and turn over to his successor everything in his possession belonging to the club.

 

      Section 8:

            The Safety Officer shall be responsible for the safe operation at the club flying field(s) of all models and has the authority to regulate the flying operations so as to insure safe and equitable flight operations.

 

      Section 9:

            The officers of the club will not be required to pay club dues during their term in office.

 

  ARTICLE III  

 

MEETINGS:

      The By-Laws shall provide for regular and special meetings. All meetings shall require the presence of 33% of the members or not less than five members to establish a quorum for the transaction of business.

 

  ARTICLE IV  

 

DUES:

      The club, by majority of those present at any regular meeting, may levy upon the general membership such dues or assessments as shall be deemed necessary for the business of the organization within its object, as set forth in the preamble thereof. Non-payment of such dues or assessments shall be cause for expulsion from the club.

 

   ARTICLE V  

 

AMENDMENTS:

      This Constitution or the By-Laws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the total membership. Proposal for amendments shall be submitted at a regular meeting and may not be voted upon until the next regular meeting. Voting may be by absentee ballot.

 

 

  Gallatin Eagles RC Flying Club 

  BY-LAWS 

 

1 - SECRETARY:

      It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep the Constitution and By-Laws of the Gallatin Eagles and have the same with him at every regular and special meeting. He shall cause all amendments, changes and additions to be noted thereon and shall permit the same to be consulted by the members upon request.

 

2 - MEMBERSHIP:

      Applications for membership shall be submitted at a regular meeting. Each applicant must express a willingness to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws and such rules as shall be from time to time promulgated by the club.

 

3 - MEETINGS:

      Regular meetings shall be held at such a place and time as shall be selected by the membership. Special meetings may be called by the President or upon the request of the membership. Notices shall be sent, such that in ordinary postal delivery they shall arrive at least 24 hours before the time set therein, to all members informing them of the special meeting and the business to be transacted.

 

4 - COMMITTEES:

      Committees may be appointed by the President when deemed necessary.

 

5 - FIELD MAINTENANCE:

      All members are expected to help improve and maintain the club flying field(s).

 

6 - AFFILIATION:

      All members that fly at the Gallatin Eagle's flying field must show proof of AMA or SFA membership.

 

7 - FIELD CONDUCT:

      Be courteous on the field, welcome and educate spectators, obey the Safety Officers instructions.
